Your child is learning to read. Yes, it can.
Dyslexia or great problems in reading is very hard for pupils. The computer program AUDILEX improves the combining of auditory and visual information: it provides effective help for learners with dyslexia and attention disorders.
The AUDILEX program, developed by Kai Karma, Professor of Music Education at the Sibelius Academy, includes exercises related to combining said sensory information. The exercises of the Audilex program are not based on language, but on auditory structuring, that is, the skill to observe the relations between sounds and the structures sounds constitute. In a special way, it deals with musicality. Students with ADD also benefited from this intervention.

Description
In game 1, two patterns appear on the screen. After
two seconds, a sound sequence was played that corresponded to one of the
patterns. Pupils have first to look at the pattern on the computer
screen and then listen to it. The task was to indicate which one
of the patterns was played. In game 2, you see only one pattern on the
screen after which a corresponding sound sequence comes. The pupils
task is to follow the pattern (from left to right) as it was being played.
The AUDILEX therapy program provides both games. This version is with English menues and
English manual. You can use the program in school or at home.
